Inspection System Profiles define how the Inspection System Service processes ePassport requests and performs authentication operations. Each profile acts as a central configuration hub that links the required certificates, trust settings, and external CA integration for secure communication and validation. It also controls how requests from terminal readers are handled and can optionally be used to fetch or poll ICAO PKD data from the NPKD Service via the DVCA Server.

Administrators can create and manage multiple profiles based on different requirements. These profiles are then assigned to clients (terminal readers) to ensure secure, consistent, and well-controlled ePassport validation across the system.

A new profile can be created by clicking the '+' button on the above screen. Create a replica of an existing profile by clicking on the vertical ellipsis (â‹®) at the end of the row for the selected profile, and clicking on the Make a Copy button. Details of creating a new verification profile are described in the following pages.

The Duplicate profile will be created without the "Name" and "Description" of the selected Profile. The Unique ID generates automatically or the next available ID will be assigned to the Profile.
