SPOC Service

The ADSS SPOC (Single Point of Contact) Service provides a centralized endpoint for secure online communication with foreign states. It serves as the primary communication channel through which domestic and foreign Document Verifiers (DVs) can request and obtain certificates from a national Country Verifying Certification Authority (CVCA).

In addition, the ADSS SPOC Service enables domestic DVs to obtain certificates from foreign CVCAs by securely exchanging requests and responses with foreign SPOC systems.

The service communicates with domestic DVCAs and CVCAs using the BSI TR-03129 protocol, while communication with foreign SPOC systems is performed using the CSN 36 9791 protocol.

Request Processing Modes

The ADSS SPOC Service supports both synchronous and asynchronous request processing modes:

Synchronous Mode: Certificate requests are processed immediately, and the response is returned as part of the same communication session..
Asynchronous Mode: Certificate requests are stored in the database with a Pending status and are displayed to authorized operators for review.

In asynchronous mode, operators can review, validate, and verify certificate requests before approving them. Once the necessary checks have been completed, the operator can accept the request and allow the certificate issuance process to proceed.
