The NPKD Service manages two primary types of certificates:


  • CSCA Certificates (Country Signing Certification Authority Certificates)
  • DS Certificates (Document Signer Certificates)


These certificates can be either manually imported into the NPKD Service by an operator or automatically downloaded from the ICAO Public Key Directory (PKD).


The certificate management module provides a set of options to support the import, download, storage, and maintenance of these certificates within the NPKD Service.
