Request Notes
An operator can add customisable request notes to guide users through each step in the certificate creation process. They can choose to add text to any/all steps of creating certificate requests.
To access, request notes expand "Enterprises" > "Registered", against your enterprise click and then click "Manage". From the enterprise menu expand "Notifications" > "Request Notes".
An operator can add request notes against the following modules:
- Certificate Center
- Virtual ID
- Desktop Signing
- Device Enrolment
- Windows Enrolment
- Signinghub Integration
An administrator can add request notes to any of the above modules from ADSS Web RA admin portal, that will be visible on the ADSS Web RA web portal.
- To access request notes, expand "Enterprises" from left menu. Then click "Registered".
- Click on the
button against a specific enterprise to manage its configurations.
- A new menu will appear on the left menu pane. Expand "Notifications", then click "Request Notes".
The request notes can be added against the following categories:
- Welcome Note
- Create Account
- Certificate Signing Request (CSR)
- Subject Distinguished Name (SDN)
- Subject Alternative Name (SAN)
- Certificate Validity
- Vetting Form
- Domain Ownership Verification
- Authentication
- Challenge Password
Welcome Note
An operator can enter a welcome note and define the enrolment process to the user. It allows an administrator to add a customised text to the first step of the enrolment process to welcome the user and guide a user what they would need to proceed.
Create Account
An operator can enter a customised note to let users know what information they need to provide while creating an account.
Create Signing Request (CSR)
At this step, an operator can add a customised note to guide users to enter a CSR.
Subject Distinguished Name (SDN)
An operator can add a customised note at this step of the enrolment process to let the users know what information they need to provide and what it will be used for.
Subject Alternative Name (SAN)
An operator can add a customised note at this step of the enrolment process to let the users know what information they need to provide and what it will be used for.
Certificate Validity
An operator can add a customised note at this step of the enrolment process to let users know the validity period of their digital identity. If the certificate expiry job is configured, the users will be notified before expiration. The automated notification will also guide them how to proceed with its renewal.
Vetting Form
At this step, an operator can add customised note to guide users to place a vetting form.
Domain Ownership Verification
An operator can add a customised note for the users to choose one method to verify their respective domains.
Authentication
At this step, an operator can add a customised note for a user to guide them about the authentication mechanism.
Challenge Password
An operator can add a customised note for users to remember to save the challenge password for later use.
Typically, the enterprise request notes section would look as displayed in the screenshot below:
An operator can add an "Enterprise Name" or "User Name". Select one from the place holder drop down and click .
After adding text to the editor, click "Save". If you do not click save, the following message will appear. Click "Discard" if you do not want to save the request note. Click "Continue Editing" to save your changes.
If a certificate request is created in another language, the language for the request note can also be selected accordingly.
