The following steps outline how to configure the ADSS HMAC Service. These steps do not need to be performed in a strict order, as you can revisit and modify configurations at any time if required.

Steps

Description

Step 1:

Use the Key Manager to generate the required keys for the HMAC Service. The service requires HMAC keys for generating OAuth tokens and for computing HMAC values. These keys will be configured later in HMAC Service profiles.

Step 2:

Create one or more HMAC Profiles for different clients. Each profile can be configured with one or more HMAC keys, and every profile may use a distinct key to ensure secure and isolated operations.

Step 3:

Use the ADSS HMAC Service Manager to start, stop, or restart the service. A restart is required whenever an HMAC Profile is added, updated, or deleted.
