Patches are usually provided whenever there is a hot fix required to be applied on production environment or any enhancement is requested by  the a client and due to urgency of business it has to be applied on production. Patches are dispatched after a release has been delivered.  

How it Works?

To apply a patch on ADSS Web RA on-premises deployment, follow these steps.

1. Download the ADSS Web RA patch file from the link that is provided by Ascertia Support and copy it on the ADSS Web RA server.
2. Extract the patch in a new folder.
3. Take the backup of ADSS Web RA existing installation directory.
4. Copy the patch files and paste them on the ADSS Web RA installation directory. When asked choose overwriting the existing files.
5. Execute required database scripts (if any included in patch). These database scripts can be found under setup\db-scripts folder.
6. Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service/Internet Information Services to impact changes.
