Manage Virtual ID Profiles
Virtual ID profiles are used to virtually manage SigningHub users and their certificates. SigningHub supports two types of virtual ID profiles, i.e.:
- RA Profile
- CSP Profile
An RA profile identifies the ADSS RA Service (Registration Authority) profile that is used to register users and create their certificates. It typically defines the certificate request details such as Distinguished Name (DName) Rules, Key Type, Key Size, URL of the CA Service and the Identity or Attribute certificate.
Similarly, a CSP profile identifies the ADSS CSP Service (Cryptographic Service Provider) profile that is used to define the format and characteristics of the user password policy and signing services settings. It provides the required API interfaces to manage users, certificates, signing requests handling & getting the signed hash (i.e. PKCS#1 signature) and their current statuses.
Based on the business requirements, you can manage (Add, Edit, and Delete) multiple virtual ID profiles to offer different types of RA and CSP services to your SigningHub Desktop Web users.
