Exporting Keys/ Certificates
Keys and certificates can be exported from the ADSS Server database provided the software crypto mode is being used (this is not supported when using an HSM).
To export a private key and its associated certificate press the Export button in the Certificates screen. The following form is presented:
Decide if you wish to export the private key and the associated certificate as a PKCS#12/PFX file or just export the certificate as a .CER file. For the former a password needs to be supplied to protect the keys. Note the key must have been marked as “exportable” when it was first generated by or imported into ADSS Server otherwise export of the private key will not be allowed.
