You can get registered with ADSS Web RA by simply using two options:


  • Self Registration
  • Enterprise Invitation

How it Works?


  1. You can register yourself through Sign Up in the ADSS Web RA from User's Portal (The Sign up button will appear only if it is configured in the settings) on your own by filling a simple form and submitting it. On registration you will receive an activation email containing a link to activate the account. You will need to provide a password, security question and answer to activate your account. Once activated, you will be able to login and use the system to create certificate requests.
  2. Enterprise administrators can also invite you to join their enterprise from ADSS Web RA admin portal using User Invitations. This way, you will receive an invitation email with a link to login and you can accept or decline that invitation from enterprise section. If you accept the invitation you will become part of the enterprise. If you are accepting invitation for the first time and you don't have a prior account then you will also need to complete the registration form and activation of your account.
  3. You can switch between enterprises, if you are part of more than one enterprises, using Switch option from top right corner after login. Once you select an enterprise to switch, you will be shown all the relevant enterprise's settings and information.
  4. You can send a forgot password request from login page on click Forgot Password and by providing your email address, if you have forgotten your password. An email will be sent to you on provided email address with a link to reset your password. After resetting your password by providing new password and answer to security question, you will be redirected to login page to login using your new password.
  5. You can request your RAO to initiate a reset password request, if you think your password has been compromised. An email will be sent to you containing a link to reset your password, security question and answer. After resetting your password, you will be redirected to login page to login using your new password.
  6. You can also reset password by logging in and navigate to Personal Information > Change Password. An email will be sent to you upon successfully changed your password.


Register an Account


  1. Go to your on-premises deployment (e.g. https://webra.ascertia.com) and click the Sign Up.
  2. Specify all required information on 'User Information' page, including your Name (mandatory), Email ID (mandatory), Mobile Number (mandatory), Job Title (optional).
  3. Provide your organization related information on 'Organization Information' page. Specify all required information including Legal Name (mandatory), Assumed Name (optional), Organization Phone Number (mandatory), Country (mandatory), State (mandatory), City (mandatory), Postal Code (mandatory), Address (mandatory) and agree to Terms of Service & Privacy Policy (mandatory).
  4. Click CREATE ACCOUNT.

Name

User's legal name that will be used to issue certificates.

Email ID

A valid email address to be used for communication later.

Mobile Number

A valid mobile number of user to be used to send One Time Password (OTP) later.

Job Title (Optional)

Job title of user to be used to identify the user's designation. It is an optional parameter through.


Activate Account


Once you are registered in ADSS Web RA, you need to activate your account to login and start using ADSS Web RA to create certificate requests. Follow these steps to activate your account.


  1. An activation email will be sent to you containing a link to activate your account. Click on email link and follow this to activate your account.
  2. Configure your account password, security question, and security answer from the activation screen. Click the ACTIVATE button.
  3. Use your credentials to log into your ADSS Web RA account.
  4. Now you may invite your enterprise users to your enterprise from ADSS Web RA Admin Portal.

A memorable word or phrase to be set to recover password, as a result of forgot password.

Answer to security question to be used later, to recover previously set password.


Accept an Invitation


An enterprise Admin can invite you as an Enterprise User through ADSS Web RA admin portal using User Invitations, upon invitation you will receive an invitation email from ADSS Web RA. You can either accept the invitation or decline it; accepting the invitation will bring you under the umbrella of inviting enterprise. To accept or decline the invitation you must have to login first and then navigate to Enterprise > Manage. All the invitations from all enterprises will be shown here.


How to accept an invitation request:


  1. Open the invitation email from your inbox and follow the invitation link.
  2. The system will redirect you to login page. Login using your credentials.
  3. After login navigate to Enterprise > Manage. Select Accept from menu corresponding to the enterprise for which you want to accept/decline the invitation.
  4. On click accept a dialog will pop up. Click YES to confirm.
  5. You will now become part of inviting enterprise.



1) For an enterprise RAO (Registration Authority Operator), Enterprise > Manage page will be shown as blank if there is no invitation yet to be accepted/declined.
2) You can leave an enterprise anytime by clicking on Leave, that you can explore through menu corresponding to intended enterprise under Enterprise > Manage



Switch Between Enterprises


An enterprise RAO can be part of multiple enterprises at the same time. Upon confirming acceptance of an invitation from an enterprise a pop-up dialog will appear to switch between enterprises, if the enterprise RAO is already part of at least one enterprise.


How to switch between enterprises:


  1. Upon confirmation of invitation from an enterprise, select the enterprise from the enterprises list to which you want to switch.
  2. If you don't want to switch at this time, you can simply close the dialog. You will be redirected to dashboard. You can switch to your other enterprises anytime later.
  3. If you want to switch to any available enterprises, then click on avatar icon under user details from top right corner and click Switch.
  4. A dialog will pop-up to select the enterprise you want to switch. Select your enterprise from the list and click Switch.

Forgot Password


If you have forgotten your password to login, then click on Forgot Password link to initiate a change password request.  Provide your email address to receive reset password email. An email notification will be sent to your provided email address to change password.


How to change password:


  1. Click on email link and set a new password by answering to security question.
  2. You will be redirected to login page.
  3. Login with your newly set password on user's portal.


Reset Password


If you think your password has been compromised and you want to set a new password then you can request your Admin RAO to initiate change password request. You will receive a reset password email notification. Follow the email link to set your new password, security question and answer. A confirmation email will be received upon successful password reset.


You can also change password for a enterprise RAO by logging in and navigate to Personal Information > Change Password.
