Managing certificate filters

SigningHub enables you to define certificate filters than can be used to identify the high trust certificates that are acceptable for signing.  This is useful when client side (local) signing is configured, and multiple locally held certificates (software key, USB token/ SmartCard) may appear at the time of signing.  This will be confusing for a user and so SigningHub can be configured to only show the allowed set of certificates.  The Enterprise Admin can configure the certificate filter appropriately, such as ensuring that only non-repudiation certificates are allowed, or only qualified certificates are allowed, or only enterprise certificates, etc. The filters can be Added, Updated, and Deleted later if required.

To add a new certificate filter,
  1. Login with the enterprise admin credentials.
  2. Click the "Enterprise" option from the top menu.
  3. Click the "Advanced" option from the right menu.
  4. Click the "Certificate Filter" tab.
  5. Click  from the main grid header. The "Add Certificate Filter" dialog will appear.
  6. Specify certificate Type, Field and Value for this filter.
You can create filter on the basis of certificate's Issuer DN, Key Usage, Algorithm OID, Policy OID, and QC Statement.
  7. Click the "Save" button.
The saved filter(s) will filter required signing certificate at the enterprise users' end.
To update a certificate filter,
  1. Login with the enterprise admin credentials.
  2. Click the "Enterprise" option from the top menu.
  3. Click the "Advanced" option from the right menu.
  4. Click the "Certificate Filter" tab.
  5. Click  adjacent to the certificate filter (to update) in the main grid. The "Update Certificate Filter" dialog will appear.
  6. Edit the required content, i.e. type, field and value of certificate.
  7. Click the "Save" button.
To delete a certificate filter,
  1. Login with the enterprise admin credentials.
  2. Click the "Enterprise" option from the top menu.
  3. Click the "Advanced" option from the right menu.
  4. Click the "Certificate Filter" tab.
  5. Select the certificate filter from the main grid.
  6. Click  from the main grid header.

If multiple certificate filters are defined, SigningHub uses the AND operator to apply all filter criteria.
