Declining a pending document

If you do not want to sign a pending document for any reason, SigningHub provides the option to decline it.

To decline a pending document,
  1. Click the "Home" option from the top menu.
  2. Open the pending document to decline.
    Alternatively you can also follow the document link in the intimation email that has been sent to you.
  3. Click the "Decline" button. The decline document provision will appear in the secondary right menu.



  4. Specify the reason of declining this document. The respective document owner can see this reason by viewing its Document Log
  5. Click the "Decline Now" button. The document is now declined.
    The document status will be changed from "Pending" to "Declined" (for you) and it will be available in your main grid. The document owner will be notified about this action through an email, and the document status on their (document owner) end will either be "Declined" or "Shared", based on the workflow configurations with which this document was shared.


If you delete a pending document from your main grid without signing or declining, it is also considered as declined in SigningHub.
