Configuring reminders in a template

SigningHub enables you to set reminders for the configured recipients (signers, reviewers, and placeholders) in a template. In this regard, you can set exclusive reminder for each recipient that will be sent to them, when they don't sign a document after a certain (configurable) time period. When the workflow related to this template document is triggered, the set reminders will be activated accordingly. 

To set reminders in a template,
  1. In case of a personal template, click the "Settings" option from the top menu.
    Or in case of an enterprise template, click the "Enterprise" option from the top menu.
  2. Click the "Templates" option from the right menu.
  3. Click  from the main grid header. The "Create Template" dialog will appear.
  4. Specify template name and description in the respective fields.
  5. Click the "Select Document" button and browse the template document. The selected document will be opened to configure template details, as shown below.

Please follow the numbering to learn the step by step process of setting the reminders.

  1. Add the recipients and/ or placeholders as required. The recipients will be added under "Workflow Details" (see step 2). 
  2. The list of added recipients and placeholders is maintained accordingly under the "Workflow Details" caption. Click  adjacent to each recipient one by one to configure exclusive permissions for them. The "Permissions" tab of Recipients Settings will appear in the secondary right menu.
  3. Field to show the recipient name (signer/ reviewer) for whom the reminders are being set. You can also select other recipients (of the workflow) one by one to set exclusive reminders for them.



  4. Click the "Set Reminder" tab.
  5. Tick the "Set Reminder" check box to configure the reminders for the selected recipient above (step 3). Specify the number of days after which reminder needs to be sent to the recipient. Once the document is received by the recipient, the days count will start. 
  6. Tick the "Set Subsequent Reminders" check box to configure the subsequent reminders for the recipient. Specify the number of days in the "Continue to Remind Every (days)" field after which SigningHub will continue sending reminders, and specify the total number of reminders to be sent in the "Total Subsequent Reminders" field. Click the ''Save" button.
    Considering the scenario of above mentioned screen, SigningHub will send a reminder on daily basis to "Mark Millar" for 6 consecutive days, i.e. 1st reminder and then 5 subsequent reminders.
  7. Click the "Next>" button to continue.
  8. Click the "Save Template>" button from next appearing screen.
  9. The "Save Template" screen will appear, edit template name and description if required and click the "Save" button to save these configurations.


‚ÄčTo experience the exact settings, it is recommended to use the template (being created) on the same documents. The actual positions of configured signature/ initials/ in-person fields may alter, if this template is applied on different type or size of documents.
