A Decryption Service profile defines how an encrypted object will decrypted when this profile is referenced in a request message from business applications. Navigate to the following location of the ADSS Console:

A new profile is created by selecting the New button from this screen. Edit button can be used to make changes into an existing profile. The following screen is shown on these actions:




The configuration items are as follows:

Description

Status

A profile can be marked Active or Inactive. Inactive profiles are not available to process decryption requests.

Profile ID

A System-defined unique identifier for this profile. This must be referenced in Decryption Service requests if this profile is to be used.

Profile Name

An Operator-defined unique name for easier human recognition within the ADSS Server Operator Console. This is not included in service request messages.

Profile Description

Use this to describe how this Decryption profile is to be used. This is just for operator information purposes.

Decryption Type

This specifies the document type to decrypt. Currently only the decryption of documents which were encrypted using XML Encrypt is supported. Other encryption algorithms like PDF and CMS will be supported in future.

Default Decryption Key(Override-able)

This defines the default decryption key that will be used for decryption if a decryption key is not provided within the decryption request.


Clicking on the Search button displays the Search Decryption profiles page as shown below:



Enter a Search criteria based on the profile status, Decryption Profile ID and Decryption Profile Name. If more than one search parameters are provided, these are combined using AND operator and results are presented accordingly.

If "_" character is used in the search then it will act as wildcard.
